i dont get why Alice trys drugs even thow she has herd scary storys about people who wave used them.

I think that Alice made some wrong decissions that she regrets. I would hate to be put in that type of sittuation. I would definetley tell my parents unliike her who keeps everything a secret. Now her parents are totally clueless and confused of why she ran away. What did you think when she ran away with Chris because she was scared? Would you feel guilty if you were Alice? Put yourself in her parents shoes would you be concerned with Allice because she just decided to run away?

I think that 'Alice' made the wrong decisions to run away, drink under-age, and do drugs.
I disagree with running away because if she was running away from problems she had at home [My prediction], and throwing her problems away. She wouldn't deal with them like an adult, so I think that 'Alice' isn't very mature. I disagree with the drinking under-age because it's illegal, and it's irresponsible to get drunk. Lastly, I disagree with the drugs because their illegal, 'Alice' is under-age, and it's terrible and could kill her. She shouldn't be wasting her money, time or doing such a high-risk health habit.
Why do you think 'Alice' started doing the durgs?

Tanya- I think that Alice is giving into peer presure not knowing it. I think that she was just so caught up into making friends she did not realise what she was getting herself into. Now she has to live her life in guilt because of her actions.

I think that alice should have left some kind of note telling her parents shes ok or someting.Also if I wheree alice I would feel guilty. Alice's parents are proably concerend because there her parents.

Why does Alice not want to tell Chris that shes home sick. Her whole problem is that she dosent tell people how she feels about things. To me she is just digging herself deeper and deeper into her little hole.

I think that 'Alice' should stop doing drugs. She could die, and she was already sick as it was. I think she should also STOP running away from home. She's always broke, and complaining later on that she wish that she never ran away. To me, it's just like stop doing it then!

I think that Alice is really trying to fix her bad habbit that she has. She really needs to deal with the other kids at school more responsibly. She should have told the principal the truth about the girl who is trying to hassle her. I feel really bad for her whole family because both of her mothers parents died within two months. How would you feel if both of your grandparents died within two months?

I think 'Alice' didn't want to tell Chris that she was homesick because she was afraid she was loose her connection to get drugs, and Chris will be very mad at her, and 'Alice' would loose her only "FRIEND". I think this because if 'Alice' had told Chris about wanting to go home, she wouldn't have any drugs. And once you try drugs, your addicted.

I think that Violet was being sort of selfish not wanting to have this big traditional party. Her grandmother has been probably witing a really long time for her to be old enough to have this party. I think that now she is 15 she should take responsibility and do something even though she may not want to. Her parents have done a lot for her and so did her grandparents. She should return that favor and do this one thing for them! Do you think she is being very selfish? Why or why not?

I think this book is good so far. Violet is not thrilled about her Quinceñera, but I think she is willing to do it for her Abuela. One thing I like about this book is when Violet, Abuela, Mom, Leda, and Janell go shopping for Violet's Quinceñera dress. I've always liked things like that; with all of the descriptions of the dresses. I do like the on Violet picked out, the purple and white one! I also like how Abuela is sly, and she is going to get a picture of the dress that Violet bought, and send the picture over to the dressmaker to be copied. Then they get a refund for the original dress, and pay less for the same exact thing, just by a different person.
Why dosen't Violet want a quinceñera?

Who is your favorite member of the family?
My favorite is Abuela, because she is supportive of whatever Violet decides to do with her Quinceñera. This shows when Violet decides she's had enough of other people making decisions for her, and she tells her family off. She tells them that if it's going to be her party, then it's going to be her choice. Abuela goes along with it, and agrees that what she thinks of the party she should say.

Who is your favorite character/s?
One of my favorite characters is Leda. This is because she is just so outgoing, with all of the clothes she wears, and she also has confidence in herself. Like when Janell accidently gave her bacon grease instead of frozen yogurt, [Leda is a vegitarian] Leda didn't stay mad for long. She got over it; and she said she "Oh, that. I channeled it. I can't help it if you guys are pathetic." (PG. 108) She forgave and forgot; she channeled her anger into her Speech Tournament Oral Speech.

I do not like Violet's brother. He is really selfish and annoying. He wouldn't even watch the dog to make sure the little kids woul not let the dog off the leash. Also he does refuses to go to his own sisters party. He should be happy for her but instead he is very jealous!

I think they did it because it is her 15th birthday; and she has a cuban background.

I still dont understand why Violet still doesn't want a quieñcero. who wouldnt want a huge birthday. Also a tridition is a tridition. I think that Violet should have a 15 birthday party. I think this because she could see other family members that mabey she hasnt seeen in a long time.

I do like Violet's brother, just I think he is a little caught up in the moment. I think he is only being selfish because he feels Violet is getting all of the attention. He wants a party too; but they are only for girls, and I don't think he gets that yet.

My favorite member of the family is abuelo. He is very nice and very caring. He makes me laugh because of the way he acted at the party that they hosted. He did some whacky things and that shows that he can have just as much fun as a kid could have. That is who my favorite character is.
Why do you think abuelo acted the way he did at the party?

I think this part of the book is good. I like how the Tri-Dist speech team finally won a competition. And for once, "The Ax" was being nice. He chose Violet to go and get the trophy; and she was very ecstatic! I like Violet's routine for her category; and definetly deserved to go get the trophy for her team.
Who do you think is the "scariest" in 'Cuba 15'?
I think for sure it's Mr. Axelrod. Like that one time that he caught Violet starting to look through his papers was frightning. He scared me a little, but then again Violet dosen't have the right to be in his things.

Do you think Violet REALLY likes Clarence, or is she using him for other reason?
I think Violet is getting sick of Clarence; and may just be using him to be able to say that she has a boyfriend. I don't think this is for sure, and this dosen't mean I think that Violet is a bad person. But I have a sense that she dosen't like him that much, or that she is getting annoyed with him.
Why do you think Mark is so stubborn, and he dosen't want his sister to have a Quince party?
I think this is because he is jealous. He's jealous because he dosne't get to have all eyes on him, which he is used to having. Maybe it could also be because alot of time is being spent on Violet and the party, and he dosen't even get to have a party when he turns 15!
